They also were living with his mother-in-law, Mary Snook, age 63 (born April 1837), and his brother-in-law, Pelin (Peter?) Snoek, age 20 (born Jun 1879).
They had been married for 5 years or approximately 1895. The census records show that he immigrated in 1894 (should be 1893?) and that he and his parents were born in Holland. His birth was listed as Oct 1872 (? should have been February, 1873?)."

It lists Joseph, age 24, single, head bookkeeper office, Margaret, age 22, single, Mary, age 13, William, age 9, and Florence, age 5. His occupation was a Peddler-Green Grocer and he owned his house. Records show he immigrated in 1883 (should have been 1893) and was naturalized in 1899(?). Census now shows, correctly, that he and his mother were born in Holland, and his father was born in Belgium.

Her Death Certificate in 1953 says that Leapold Shoeck(sic) was her father, as reported by George Standaert. It also said that her mother was unknown. It says her name was 'Nathlie' and was born in Belgium. She was buried in Sep 1953 at Holy Sepulchre, Lot 11-2, Totowa, Passaic County, NJ.4

In the1910 Census, was listed as August Standard, age 47, living at 65 Highland St, immigrated in1890, and was a Weaver in a silk mill. Living with his wife, Jennie, age 40 and 3 children. Jennie immigrated in 1885 and was born in Holland. Their children were: Mary, age 16, John, age 13, August, age 1 and 10/12. They were married for 18 years by this time.
In the 1920 Census, was listed as August Standaret (sic), Age 57, and was living at 113 Highland St, immigrated in1890, naturalized in 1896, and his occupation was a Silk Weaver. He was living with his wife, Jennie, age 49, who immigrated in 1885 and was naturalized in1896. Their children were: Mary, age 26, Silk Weaver and Frank, age 11. Their son John was shown living at 157 Butler St., with Margaret Buysee Standard(?) in the1920 Census, although it shows age 25, not 23?.
Holy Sepulchre cemetary records (card file), says age 73, died in 1945, therefore born 1872 not 1863?. However, Frank's obituary in 1938 does NOT show August (Bernard) as alive, and actual birth was in 1863, therefore, cemetary records should list death as 1935 not 1945? Cemetery records show he is buried in plot with VanHook's. Who? Wife's family? He was also known as Augustus Standaert.22 He was also known as Bernard Pop always called him uncle 'Bernard' but no other reference to Bernard in any of the records? Aunt Flory once referred to him as "Bruno". Miriam deBaets from Holland heard him referred to as "de Bruinen" or "brown one"?
He was also known as Camiel Standaert. He In the 1900 Census, he was 33 years old, living in Little Falls, and his occupation was a railroad worker. Census records indicated that he immigrated around 1890 and was born in Belgium(?). He was living with his wife, Fanny, age 34, with 4 children (one had died). Fanny was born in Belgium in 1866 and immigrated around 1880(?). They were married for about 8 years (about 1891). Their children in the 1900 census were: Mamir (daughter), age 7, Jul 1892, George, age 6, Feb 1894, Louisa, age 2, May 1898, John, age 4/12, Jan 1900.
In the 1910 Census he was listed as Cornelius Standard, age 41, and was living on Newark Turnpike, Little Falls. Census records indicated that he was born in Belgium(?) and immigrated around 1890. He was a drum puller at a carpet mill, could not read or write and was living with his wife, Stephany, age 42. She was bron in Belgium and immigrated in 1890(?). They had 5 children (two had died). They had been married for 19 years. Their children were listed as: Mary, age 17 (Jul 1892?), winder, George, age 16 (Feb 1894?), box boy, Louise, age 12, (May 1898?), John, age 10, (Jan 1900?), Philip, age 4 (Abt 1906).
In the1920 Census, he was listed as Cornelius Standard, age 53, lived on Pompton Turnpike, Little Falls (now Rt. 23). Now said he was born in Holland and immgrated around 1892. He was a fireman in the carpet mill. He lived with his wife Fanny, age 53, born in Belgium, immigrated in 1887. Their children were listed as: John, age 20, laborer, Rubber Mill, Philip, age 14. Their son, George, age 26 and Isabelle Standard, age 29, were listed seperately living on B..... Ave, Little Falls.
He is listed as Cornelius on his gravestone, although in the obituary for Frank Standaert in 1938, and the obituary for David in 1946, he is still referred to by his Dutch name of Camiel. Obit for David(1946) lists as Camiel. He was also known as Camil Standaert.22 He immigrated circa 1890 to Paterson, Passaic County, NJ.
He was also known as Theophiel Standaert.5,22 He emigrated on 21 May 1895 from Eede, Zeeland, NLD, The emigration records list Theophiel Standaert as a blacksmith ('smid') and denote that he was single ('Burgelijks staat=O'), and was a Roman Catholic.5
David Standard appeared on the census of 1900 at Paterson, NJ, and David was listed as 29 years old and lived at 60 Mercer St. He was married for 4 years (abt 1897?) and was born in Holland, as was his mother and father. He was a citizen and lived in the US for 6 years (abt 1894?, emigration archive shows 21 May 1895). His occupation was a dyer and he could read and write and lived in a rented house. His wife was 'Lena', born Feb 1879, 29 yrs old, also born Holland, and she immigrated in 1892 (8 years in US). They had one daughter, Lizzy, born Aug 1898, 1 yr old, born in NJ.

They were married 1 year, and had 3 children: Eliz (11), John(7), and August (3). He worked in a grocery store, could read/write, was born Holland, and immigrated in 1895. His wife, Mary, was 23 years old, born in Belgium, spoke Flemish, and her mother and father were born in Belgium. She immigrated in 1901 and she had no children.

The records list his year of immigration as 1875 (s/b 1895?) and he was naturalized in 1904, and could read/write. He was a storekeeper, grocery. His wife Mary, age 32, was born in Belgium, and was listed as immigrating in 1902(?), and was also naturalized in 1904.

She died on 3 Jan 1922 at Paramus, Bergen County, NJ, at age 84. She was buried on 5 Jan 1922 at Holy Sepulchre, Sect 3, Lot 405-4.
She was Housewife. She In the 1900 Census, it shows Mary Snook(sp) living at 72(?)Highland St, with Frank and Nellie Standaert. It says she was age 63, born Apr 1837, in Belgium (father and mother were born in Belgium). Living with Pelin(?) Snoek, age 20 born June 1879, Brother-in-Law.
In the 1910 Census, it shows Mary Snoek living at 81 Highland as mother-in-law, living with Ben DeBlieck (widower of Emma Snoek). Age 68(?), widow, born Belgium, speaks Flemish, Immigrated in 1889.
In the 1920 Census, can't find - maybe she was already in Nursing Home?
She is buried in Holy Sepulchre section 3, lot 405 grave #4, 52 Totowa Rd.
According to Pop she died at Mt. St. Andrews Villa, Midland Ave, Paramus.
We have copy of death certificate, it says she died at home of Diane Prowglass(sp?), Midland Township, Bergen County.
In obituary Notice, Paterson Library, Book 25 (Index) for Jan 5, 1922 (paper date): "Mary Snock(sp), died at home of Diani Prow.... of Ridgewood after short illness. Funeral at son's residence , Serfan(sp) Snock(sp), 55 Sassafras, service at Lady of Lourdes, burial atHoly Sepulchre." She emigrated circa 1889 from BEL.

Kraailo (kraai = kind of bird, lo = means wood) was a farm by that name, it disappeared in 16th century. The "Kraailokerkweg" is a street that marks the border between Adegem and Maldegem. It is south of both communities, between Cleyt en Onderdijk on the map of 1888.
